I don’t check DMs on these platforms that much so it’s not a good way to contact me!
I don’t update these that often (maybe a couple times a month at most.) If you want to keep up with stuff I’m working on and updates to this site consider using the rss feed for my blog.
tools i like / use
for building this site
current
- Hugo
- sk1 Theme - I’ve wound up using this theme as the base for a lot of things.
- downstyler.css
past
Things I like but don’t really have a good use for right now:
computer stuff
hardware
An incomplete list.
- Ploopy Adept
- Huion Inspiroy H610PRO V2 - completely fine tablet that evokes no strong feelings. Have a Huion Kamvas 22 but it stopped working after a year of use and now just hangs around as a second monitor.
- PC built in 2020 | Windows 11
- Thinkpad T420s | Bunsenlabs
- Thinkpad X220 | 9Front - just messing around with this, I barely know how to do anything.
software
-
Clip Studio Paint EX - the only thing keeping me on Windows because the comics-specific features are really useful. :{
Some specific Clip Studio tools I use a lot:
-
micro cross-platform terminal based text editor.
drawing supplies
for comics
- Pentel Brush Pen 🖤 - cheap, refillable, has bristles.
- Rohrer and Klingner sketchINK in black - to refill brush pens and misc fountain pens. A bit cheaper than Platinum Carbon and seems similar enough.
- Any brand felt-tipped pens in 03 and 005 for drawing, 08 for panel lines - I can’t tell the difference.
- pencils - for comics doesn’t matter that much, just whatever wood case HB or 2B.
- Daiso handheld broom - wide and narrow, meant for sweeping out crevices but makes a good brush for cleaning away eraser shavings. Has a little heart-shaped hole on the handle for hanging.
for whatever else
- Holbein gouache
